current covid-19 situation

          We hope you and your family are doing well through these very difficult times and circumstances.  As healthcare professionals,  we have been keeping up to date with the latest news, statistics and guide-lines concerning our profession and the health of our community. 

           Even though our office was closed most of March to June 2020, we were able to provide essential care for emergency patients. Tele-dentistry became invaluable to us during our closure with patients sending pictures of loose baby teeth, cracked molars and even finger cuts.  With the help of online seminars, endless personal research and guidelines from the CDC and local public health agencies, our office re-opened safely in July 2020.

           Dental offices have been safe from any major clusters and outbreaks of  Covid19 Virus. Even before Covid19 , our office have always followed strict protocols to protect against blood-borne pathogens by using autoclaves, disinfecting solutions, disposable barriers and routine x-ray and bacteria spore monitoring services.  To protect against the air-borne COVID19 virus, our office have implemented several new equipment to mitigate the spread of the virus. These include: Medify- Air medical grade HEPA air filters, Vaniman extra-oral high vacuum suction units to minimize aerosol  and anti-viral disinfecting fogging machines.

         Our doctor and staff are screened daily for symptoms, and tested regularly for the virus. Together with strict patient screening and check-in protocol, we have provided a safe environment for our patients and staff.  

         Now the we are into our third year of Covid 19 and its many variants, some of us have let down our guards and did away with wearing masks and precautions that we take for granted. But this have expose us more to the common flu and the current RSV virus. We hope that all of you have taken advantage of the Covid vaccine as well as the common flu vaccine. Our office have not taken any of these germs and viruses lightly and ask you to follow the guideline below to keep our patients, doctors and staff safe.

IF YOU ARE SICK,  DON'T FEEL WELL OR HAVE BEEN AROUND SOMEONE WHO IS SICK,  PLEASE STAY HOME.  YOU CAN CALL US TO RESCHEDULE UNTIL YOU FEEL  BETTER. 

FACE MASK :  Although not mandatory, we still ask that you wear a face mask when you enter and leave our office.  Due to limited supply, you must bring your own.  Our staff will also be wearing masks and face shields.

STAY 6 FEET APART FROM OTHER PATIENTS:   Our waiting room will be set up for social distancing and additional markings and barriers will be prominent.  Unless you are a child, being seen as a family, or need assistance, try to come to your appointment by yourself.  

TEMPERATURE CHECK:  Your temperature will be checked by our staff when you enter our office. 

WASHING HANDS:  We will ask you to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.

MOUTH WASH:  We will ask to to rinse with a safe peroxide-based mouthwash before any dental procedures. 

       Infection control  and sterilization has always been a top priority at our office. We will be complying with the latest protocol for social distancing  and sanitation guidelines to prevent risk to our patients and staff. 

        We will be wearing more physical barriers (PPE).  Our office scheduling will be staggered to  minimize crowding in the waiting room.  You might be asked to wait in your car until you room is sterilized and prepared for you. 

      Our waiting room and restrooms will be frequently disinfected and cleaned on a regular basis throughout the day. 

     There will be more essential equipment such as medical grade air purification systems.  Extra oral suction machines during restorative procedures to reduce aerosols.  Anti-viral fogging units with EPA approved "Hypo-Chlorous Acid". 

     We have spent countless hours and on-line seminars evaluating and researching new technology and equipment that we feel will lessen the risk of spreading the virus.  As these become more definitive and available, we will implement them in our office.
