Our Team

From the front desk receptionist and dental assistants to our lab technicians and the doctor, we show that the best customer experience comes from a genuine care and concern. Our goal is to ensure every appointment is comfortable, relieves any discomfort or gives you the smile you've always wanted! 

Dr. Chan has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years.  He attained his BA in Biophysics/ Medical Physics from UC Berkeley during the year of the "Big Play"....  GO BEARS!.  He graduated with honors from the University of Pacific Dental School in 1986.

Dr. Chan emigrated from Hong Kong when he was young and grew up in the San Francisco Peninsula.  He is fluent in Cantonese.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Mateo County Dental Society. He keeps updated with current techniques and innovations in dentistry through continuing education classes.  He regularly volunteers at the Samaritan House Free Dental Clinic and the CDA Cares events throughout California. 

He and his  wife of 32 years, Gwen ,  have three lovely daughters. They all enjoy traveling, hiking , golfing, cooking , baking and eating out way too much.  Feel free to chat about his experiences and favorites before your mouth is stuck in the open position.

"Dr. Lauren"  is the middle daughter of Dr. Chan. She have been interested in dentistry since she help assist dad on doing a root canal on her baby sister when she was 10. She helped out at the office through out high school and volunteer with dad at various free dental clinics and events during her college years. It was not a surprise to see her gravitate towards a career in dentistry. 

Lauren graduated from UC San Diego with a BS in Biochemistry & Cell Biology and minor in Business.  She attained her Doctorate Degree from Western University of Health Sciences. 

Dr. Lauren brings the newest knowledge and techniques of the most up to date dental treatments and materials to our office.   

No office would be successful without these people we work with everyday.  We are so fortunate to have been together for at least a quarter century.  Some I have even inherited when I took over the office 34 years ago.  Alice, our office manager, have been a trustworthy and loyal fixture. Jasmine handles most of our insurance and billing with precision. Anna and Sara have worked chair side with me since the very beginning.  Shane and Megan always answers the phones with a smile and keeps us busy.
